Camp In A Box Update

Despite our efforts, the completion of this projection remains somewhere in the future.
An update is appropriate for those that are still coming to this blog.
We were not able to send a Camp In A Box container to Eastern Europe mainly due to a substantial funding shortage.  However there have been positives.
HART(www.hart.ca), played a significant role in our original campaign. Their efforts to support many organizations in Ukraine continues.  This work has gained more significance due to the  current situation in Ukraine.  A committee decision was made to use funds raised and in a bank account  to fund youth summer camps in Ukraine.  This would fulfill the vision of supporting camp in Eastern Europe.  We were able to provide over $ 9,000.00 at the 2014 spring auction by HART in Calgary.
The most likely scenario however  would see the container reach Latvia and be put to use in that country.
Steve and Natalija Janz are still in mission to this country even though their last couple of years have been mainly spent in Canada.  They are still seeking God's leading for their future and they still feel that there is hope for a return to Latvia.
There has been another campaign launched by them to raise funds for completion of the Camp In A Box container  however it did not meet the required financial commitment to go ahead.
There is only increased need for facilities such as these to provide Jesus centred summer camp opportunities for under privileged youth  in Eastern European countries.
The hope would be for continued prayers that the path will open for provision of this mission effort
